First BlackBerry 10 Device to Lack a Physical Keyboard
Research In Motion revealed today that the first smartphone to ship with its forthcoming BlackBerry 10 platform will not include a physical keyboard. Instead, the device will offer only a software-based keyboard. It is due to arrive by the end of the year, and a RIM spokesperson said that BlackBerry 10 devices with keyboards will launch "in the future." At a developer event RIM held in May, the company showed off a new software keyboard for its smartphones that uses new predictive software for correcting typing errors. This keyboard is expected to be part of the BlackBerry 10 platform.
