AT&T Launches NYC-Specific Network Coverage Site

AT&T today announced that it has expanded a series of micro web sites that offer a highly detailed look at its network coverage in a smattering of metropolitan regions around the country. Starting today, the micro site is available in the metropolitan New York City area. Using the site, residents can drill down to see individual cell towers in their own neighborhoods and the improvements AT&T has made to the towers, capacity, or to the backhaul. The map is compatible with most mobile devices. Similar micro sites are already available in Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, South Florida, St. Louis, and Tampa-St. Petersburg. AT&T said that it will add more detailed coverage maps for other markets over time.
