Verizon Wireless has issued a statement regarding the on-going outage of its Long Term Evolution 4G network. Verizon Wireless said it has determined what caused the network outage and is working with its major vendor partners to fix the problem. "Our network engineers are working to resolve this quickly," the company said in a statement. In the meantime, Verizon points out that 4G phones will still be able to make voice calls while the LTE network is out, and that customers may connect to its older 1XRTT network. Verizon said that it will restore LTE network access in a market-by-market basis, and will provide additional details as they become available.
