Microsoft and Nokia Finalize Agreement
Microsoft and Nokia today announced that they've agreed to the broad terms and finer details concerning Nokia's use of Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform in its future smartphones. The companies said they already have a product roadmap looking ahead several years, and they are hoping to ship their first WP7 device by the end of the year. Neither expects volume shipments of Nokia WP7 devices until 2012, though. The companies said they'll be working to bring WP7 to "new geographies" and at "new price points" in order to spur adoption. In the mean time, Nokia will continue to ship smartohones running Symbian and integrate Microsoft's cloud features over time. (follow link to read)
