RIM Announces BlackBerry OS 7
Research In Motion today announced an upgrade of its core platform software to version 7. The new version of BlackBerry OS, which will first be available on the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930, makes improvements to usability through use of Liquid Graphics. RIM says Liquid Graphics is faster at rendering on-screen graphics and uses a just-in-time JavaScript compiler to speed up browser performance. The browser now supports HTML5, including HTML5 video. BlackBerry OS 7 also includes the new BlackBerry Balance software, which is meant to help separate work from personal usage. The OS also receives a significant upgrade to universal search with better voice support. RIM didn't say if older devices will have access to BlackBerry OS 7(follow link to read)
