Cricket Intros 'Crosswave' Mobile Hotspot Creator

Cricket Wireless today introduced the Crosswave, a new MiFi-like device that uses Cricket's 3G network to provide mobile broadband for other Wi-Fi devices. The Crosswave can access Cricket's EVDO 3G network and provides download speeds up to 1.4Mbps. Cricket says it is comptaible with most other devices with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi on board, including laptops, tablets and phones. The Crosswave goes on sale starting October 15 for $150. Cricket's mobile broadband plans cost $40 for 2.5GB per month, $50 for 5GB per month, and $60 for 7.5GB per month. The Crosswave is made by Huawei.
